Hawker Pacific and the Shanghai Airport Authority have officially opened a new joint venture fixed base operation at at Shanghai’s Hongquiao airport.
The 3100sq m full service FBO operation offers a large lounge, five offices, theatre and conference facilities for customers as well as a rest and service area for crew. Initially, FBO services will include customs and immigration and aircraft hangarage, while Hawkers will also open a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for international and Chinese business aircraft operators.

Hawker Pacific CEO Alan Smith said that the new operation and joint venture was an important milestone for the company. “Strategically, it is a perfect fit with our requirements to grow our FBO, MRO and aircraft management services businesses throughout Asia, regarded as being the power base for economic and aviation growth over the next decade. Hawker Pacific also operates FBO facilities at Singapore, Subang in Malaysia, Manilla in the Philippines and at four locations in Australia.
