BA strike halts some Heathrow flights

British Airways cabin crew have started a series of strikes after the Unite union had an injunction against it overturned on appeal.

The cabin crew commenced a five day strike on May 24, with the airline saying that it plans to operate 60 per cent of its long haul flights and more than 50 per cent of its short haul flights from London Heathrow airport. Flights from other airports in the UK are not being affected by the strike, while some Qantas codeshare services are being affected.
