Qantas held a special ceremony for the Socceroos at its Melbourne jetbase before the team and a number of supporters departed on a special flight to Johannesburg ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup which commences in June.
The team departed from Melbourne on May 26 in Qantas 747-400 VH-OJS for the 13 and a half hour flight direct to Johannesburg. “We were extremely excited to roll out the red carpet for our Qantas Socceroos today.
